VCOSS, Victoria’s peak body for the community sector, invited Brett to deliver a workshop Monday September 1 to its team about the gentle art of networking.

Brett drew on his Career Skills They Never Taught You along with snatches of his presentation and media training workshops to discuss among other things:

the importance of networking;

ways to overcome reticence;

understanding your audience;

deciding the objective of any networking;

ways to turn events they stage into networking opportunities;

and refining messages and positions.
